We believe that access to justice should be a right for everyone instead of declaring it as a privilege. By taking a variety of initiatives we are empowering and supporting students, underserved communities & especially those who can’t speak for themselves.
Academic Collaboration with IOBM × Greenwich
Legal guards contribute to the academic growth by partnering with numerous universities including Greenwich and IOBM for the passionate law students. Our senior professional, Mr.Farhatullah offers instruction in Corporate Law, Cyber Law & Arbitration incorporating a bridge between practical learning & academia.
Pro Bona Legal Services
Legal Guards take sensitive matters such as sexual assault, divorce, property claims & inheritant disputes. In multiple cases, we have even covered official court fees to ensure that justice is not denied due to financial barriers.
Legal Aid for Underprivileged Prisoners
Legal Guards have been providing legal assistance to prisoners who have been incarcerated without access to counsel over 20 years without hearing with collaboration of Sindh Police and Central Jail Karachi. We can say with pride that our efforts have reduced sentences even in some cases complete discharges.
Students Right Advocacy
Legal guards perused legal recourse for the students whose examination scores of 70 MCAT was handled unfairly. A Constitutional Petition was filed was filed in High Court and taken up by the Supreme Court, showing our commitment to social right and justice.
NADRA and Succession Certificate Reform
Legal Guards successfully obtained stay order against NADRA and successive certification fees. Through our services, we provide assistance to NADRA toward digitizing it’s succession and inheritance procedures, making the system accessible for citizens.
Defense of Vaccinator
Legal Guards filed a Constitutional Petition for vaccinators whose contracts following a polio campaign were terminated by the government. Our legal challenge advocated for fair treatment and reassignment of COVID-19 vaccinations drives.
Karachi University Degree Delays
Legal Guards stood up with students from SM Collage due to the delays held by Karachi University examination department by filing a Constitutional Petition. The court urgent the university to conduct its own exams and set clear deadlines.
